Teletherapy
Teletherapy is providing counseling through a live video connection or phone call, over the internet. I provide the same treatment as I would in person, it's just done through a computer or phone instead. If you've ever used Skype on your computer or FaceTime on your iPhone, you've used the same type of technology teletherapy uses.

This service is the only service I provide, but it has been proved to be just as effective as office visits and can actually be more convenient for clients due to time, money, and travel restraints.

I am currently licensed in the states of Utah, Arizona, and Idaho. Therefore, I can only work with Utah, Arizona, and Idaho residents.
ACT Therapy
I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT Therapy.) Through this and other types of therapies (Person Centered Approach, and Solution-Focused Counseling,) I work with clients to help them learn how to notice their thoughts and feelings without becoming controlled by them.

I teach them the tools necessary to be able to recognize their thoughts and feelings for what they are, thoughts and feelings. As clients become more self-aware they are then able to turn their focus and energy more towards living their values and achieving their goals.
EMDR Therapy
I am trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy. This is a form of psychotherapy in which the person being treated is asked to recall distressing images; I then direct the patient in one type of bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye rapid movement, or tapping.
EMDR is a psychotherapy treatment that was originally designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. Adaptive Information Processing model posits that EMDR therapy facilitates the accessing and processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experience to bring these to an adaptive resolution.
After successful treatment with EMDR therapy, affective distress is relieved, negative beliefs are reformulated, and physiological arousal is reduced.
